'now playing' widget no longer controls music after upgrade to10.15.4 Catalina upgrade

Woke up and w/ the upgrade installed on my 13" Macbook Pro and noticed that Music is not working properly. I have music set to 'Repeat All' and that is not consistently working. In addition, the 'Now Playing' widget controls do not work, they are not even clickable.

Music won't play after upgrading to Catalina 10.15.7 I updated my OS to Catalina 10.15.7 yesterday and now Music isn't working. I can open Music and see my library but when try to play any song or playlist nothing happens. The control changes from "play" to "pause" but the time marker won't progress beyond 0:00. If I manually drag the time indicator to mid-song nothing happens. I've rebooted twice with no effect. Did the last update break the Music app?

new macbook pro M1—music app does not work Hello, I migrated TO a new MacBook Pro FROM my Late 2013 MacBook Pro running Catalina; on the new device, launching the Music app does nothing. I can launch individual music tracks by double clicking on them in Finder but that's it; there is no "app" on the desktop. Can someone provide guidance here? I thought that a new MacBook would be able to run a basic Music app?!? Thanks in advance.

Please disregard. Did another restart and the stuck buttons now control the music player.
