Mobile data update failed

Hello everyone, I’m facing this problem ”mobile data update failed” with my iPhone. My software is up to date with newer version 12.4.6 but still it asking for some update. Without this mobile data update, don't know where and how to update, I can't be to make or receive calls and use mobile data. My iPhone also showing ”⚠️ No Service”. Please suggest me what should I do to get rid of this. I’ve also tried putting on flight mode for a while, taking sim from the slot or resetting the network setting but nothing works. I'll be grateful for your support.

Thanks.

This is the Screenshot of the error my iPhone showing to me in the Mobile Data section.

Open Settings ➔ General ➔ About (while connected to the internet) should normally provide the background to perform a carrier update.

I’m having this exact issue too ever since updating my phone. I’ve tried everything.

It seems to be a hardware / update issue Australian purchased phones should be repaired under extended warranty for this problem

I contacted Apple support and spoke to a senior advisor (some of transcript below) Have contacted Aussie Apple store following the below advise and they basically said bad luck, phone is from overseas, and wont be covered!!

https://support.apple.com/iphone-7-no-service I can relate to this if it just stopped working, however, I have not had a problem with the phone until this latest IOS Update.. failed on reloading, now phone is an ipod.

Have tried to contact Apple support again but are not operating at this time. Will try again and update here.

Looks like its no more Apple products for me

Where

was the phone purchased at?

From

Ebay Australia, have tried to look for original purchase receipt through ebay,

however, could not get that far back

Not

a problem. What is your postal code?

· me

25xx

·   apple

And last but not

least you tried a recovery mode update?

·  apple

If not its ok, we

are still going to want to go over hardware related options.

yes

, did this with the Apple operator a few days ago, phone worked for a couple of

hours then lost signal and received mob up fail message again

· apple

Yep it sounds like

it may be suffering from the extended repair extension program we have but we

would need to get it inspected to make sure.

me:

Just

reading here about country of origin .. purchased through ebay OZ, delivery did

take a while.. would that matter if it came from elsewhere?

·  apple

It does which is why

you want to let them know the model first you are bringing in.

· apple

It only matters for

the service provider and i can explain why.

Apple

Authorized Service Providers are individually owned businesses certified to

service products from that region or country. So if the product is from a

different country or region they can decline service and may contact us. Where

as the Apple Retail Stores are owned by us so we usually have the parts and

replacements for multiple countries there.

·

But yeah if the

Apple Authorized Service Provider declines we would still have you covered when

the retail stores reopen.

·

What they would be

doing is making sure it qualifies for that extension program and if it does

they would usually repair or replace for free.

Usually

being the Repair Extension Programs are publicly known the service providers

usually don’t push back on those.

·

But if they do thats

why i emailed you the case number. If needed we can get a phone advisor to

reach out to them.

ok Thanks
