How do I turn the off password request when I restart?

Do not want to have to reenter my password every time I restart my MBP. How do I change this?

Did you enable FileVault? If so, there is no way to disable that without turning off FileVault. Encrypting the drive would serve no purpose if you automatically decrypted it on login.

If you want to disable FileVault, turn it off in Security & Privacy system prefs. It will likely take a few days. Once it decrypts and states that FileVault is off, follow the next set of instructions.

If FileVault is off, Open Users & Groups System prefs.

Click the padlock to authenticate the prefpane.

Select Login Options.

Turn Automatic login on and choose the user to automatically log into.
