Microsoft Office download ??

If I purchase Microsoft Office.......how do I actually get it on my MacBook Air? There is no disk drive, just USB ports.

My purchase is on hold so I would like to get an answer asap.

Currently, software is generally downloaded from the Internet instead of gotten on physical media. If an old program requires a drive, its system requirements will say what's needed.
