No audio on iPad

I occasionally had no audio on my iPad for videos in the past but eventually got it working. Tonight I don’t get any. I’ve unchecked the mute button in some videos but still none. I’ve used the volume buttons on the side but when I raise the volume to max it immediately goes back down to zero according to the scale on the screen. Same thing happens when I swipe down from the top of the screen to bring up the consoles. Increase the volume to max and it immediately goes down to zero.

This is happening with YouTube and Facebook. Maybe in other sites.

Any suggestions?
