How does the Apple Watch count the burnt calories?

Hello,can you explein me how the apple watch count the burn calorie,i read that it takes hearth rate mesurments every 10 minets teough the day,so if us no whit the hearth rate how the appe watch count them?its all about in Off work out mode.thank you

If you are using one of the exercise modes, the heart rate measurement happens more frequently.


It will also take into account steps (arm swings), and stairs climbed (elevation changes based on barometric pressure changes).


But it all comes down to a calculated guess.


If you are looking to precise accuracy, the Apple Watch is not going to give that to you.


But there are a lot of people out there taking better care of themselves, thanks to the Apple Watch. And they miss fewer text, phone calls, and appointments because they show up on their wrists 😀

Calories burnt are determined by weight,height,age,gender and heart rate,which is why its important to make sure these details are entered correctly in the health app.

How does the Apple Watch count the burnt calories?
