Need Mac OS ISO file to reinstall OS

Hi All,

I have a 2010 27" iMac. In trying to resolve a possible HDD issue, I performed a low level format of the 1TB drive. Unfortunately, this also blew away any onboard recovery partitions / apps.

The internet repair does not work either.

As this is the only mac device in my house, I require a working ISO file with either Yosemite / Sierra / High Sierra on it so that I can burn it onto a USB stick using Windows/Transmac.

I have downloaded MANY mac OS ISO files and they boot successfully, but then I get the dreaded error "This copy of the install macOS High Sierra application is damaged...." This error appears as I am using an old ISO file with an expired certificate.

Therefore, I NEED a new version of an ISO file containing Yosemite / Sierra / High Sierra.

I cannot access the Apple App store on my Windows PC.

Is there a DIRECT link on Apple Support to a WORKING ISO OS file?

Thank you,

Ian

Ian, not ISO per se, not damaged just an expired Certificate.

Naw, it's just that you have an old copy already in Applications, there are 2 cures...

Disconnect from the Internet & set the Date back to 2014, then you can run the Install MacsOS High Sierra App in Applications, so expired Certificates are not expired.

Or... trash the Install MacsOS High Sierra.app in Applications then a new copy can be downloaded.
