Kernel panic related to nvme, MacBook Pro crashes every time it goes to sleep
I have a MacBook Pro 13" late 2017 with 2 thunderbolts and every time it goes to sleep (when I close the lid or after some time of inactivity) the MacBook crashes and shows an unresponsive black screen or more commonly a black screen which states that the computer need to be restarted. Attached here some related crash log.
The problem occur only if I wait something like 20 minutes or more after sleep and seems to not occur when battery is above 85%. The macbook have been checked in an Apple Store, no hardware issues have been diagnosed. The problem persist in every single Catalina version from the first release to the latest beta and is not present in previous macOS versions such as Mojave.
They returned me my MacBook with Mojave installed and said to me just to wait for some unspecified future update that might fix the problem. They suggested to me to report the problem via the feedback app and that's what I did, but I also would like to use the new Catalina and not get stuck with an old OS.
I tried to set hibernation mode to 25 and also to disable the standby feature, nothing works, the computer still crashes but the crash log presents a different error: "Sleep Wake failure in EFI".
It is interesting to note that the problem was inexistent a moth ago, now instead persist on every Catalina versions, even some versions I used without having any problem in the past!
Can you suggest any temporary solution? Are you experiencing the same problems?
