Thanks, but I tried this and my laptop computer just won't recognize the iPad. I've turned my laptop off and back on, I've drained the battery from the iPad and recharged it. I've found several different possibilities on the web to try and fix this but I just can't get my laptop to recognize the iPad. I went into device manager and turned off then turned back on apple devices (or something like that) with no success.... I'll just have to call apple one day. Thanks
