capability of camera iPhone X
need to take a photo for a program, JPG or GIF format, maximum size 2MB
photo size 4x6 640x480 pixels. Not sure I even understand that.
Can iPhone X camera do this?

If you go to settings>Camera>formats-select most compatible which will ensure that it is a jpg. Once you take the photo you will need to resize it. Here is a link that should help - Take and edit photos with your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
