Gmail inbox emptied

The Gmail inbox for my iPhone 7 Plus just turned up empty. I restarted the iPhone and updated the iOS to 13.3.1, with no effect. Any ideas?

Delete and reinstall the gmail account.

Contact google or look at their support site.
