I have a number of songs on my iPhone from before I upgraded the phone and pc versions, but 3 newer cds that I have ripped to the Mac will not sync to the iPhone. They are in playlists that are syncing, although the albums themselves are not specifically selected for syncing, just like the rest that are on the iPhone.

I was trying to do that. I think because I was getting a number of "because you are not authorized for them on this Mac" messages from various free itunes downloads back in the day, that may have created an issue. I deleted all of this from my mac, and sync seems to be working now

Select the albums for syncing (in the Mac’s Music app).
