Messages - disable image auto save to photos

Is there any way to disable messages saving every picture taken to the photos app? Or at the very least pic a specific album? It is really annoying... i have to go through and delete all the random pictures I take. Ex) send my wife a picture of something at store - i don't need to persist that forever.

I can understand wanting quick photos you take within the Messages app to not automatically save. At this time, there's not an option that supports turning this feature off. You can make suggestions and request feature changes on the Apple Product Feedback website.
