Renaming a bluetooth device on my ipone 11

Why is the renaming functionality for bluetooth devices pretty much non-existent for most bluetooth devices pairing / connecting with a iphone 11?

The ability to rename a device is dependent on the device itself, not the iPhone. If the ability does not appear, then it does not support to change the name.

These Bluetooth devices can be named under my 5 year old android phone, so it is an iOS software issue that Apple needs to fix.
