How to unlocked service provider

hi, my phone can’t change to new sim card, the notification say its locked from service provider.. someone know how to unlocked? Please.. tq

Adam,

A carrier locked iPhone can only be unlocked by the carrier that the iPhone is locked to. Please call that carrier and ask them whether they will unlock the iPhone. They may have some pre-requisites to get qualified. They will inform you.

Axel F, thanks a lot for u help. Sorry im little bit slow to understand, who is carrier? How to call them? This i phone i got from my girlfriend in sweden, i usage wifi for connection there. Its working well.. then now im in malaysia, i’m tried to put malaysian telco sim card but it not working.. tq

Carrier and Provider are the same thing and that means the phone company that provides service to the iPhone. Ask your girlfriend if she knows to which carrier/provider the iPhone is locked to. It is probably locked to the carrier that provided the service when it worked on cellular the last time.
