After the most recent update, whenever I startup my Mac it will reopen apps that were open when I finished the last session.
"Reopen windows when starting a new session" is unchecked, as it always has been.
Anyone experiencing the same?

I have seen this reported before. Have you tried toggling the check box in "Reopen windows when starting a new session" on and off?
Have you checked in System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login Items?
I did.
Nothing there.
The issue started happening only after the update I did yesterday if I'm not mistaken.
It may have worked.
