My charger will connect to my iPhone 7 but earphones won’t connect same with auxiliary cords etc

The iPhone 7 doesn't have an aux port. It came with an aux to lightning adapter that you can use to plug in your earphones to the iPhone but you can't plug in both at the same time unless you buy (another) adapter. I know it's not convenient but that's how it is. I switched to wireless headphones once the headphone jack was removed... I have AirPods Pro now.
