I received an email stating my apple ID had been locked because I didn't verify my account, is that a scam? The email came for no reason. Even my daughter found it weird I would be sent an email from Apple telling me to verify my account.
It's fake. Forward it to reportphishing@apple.com as an attachment and then delete it.
If an Apple ID actually gets locked, its owner will be told when they try logging into it instead of through email.
