Disable Apple Store updates

Question

Disable Apple Store updates

I am constantly subjected to reminders to update the Apple Store. I will never use this and thus I don't want to constantly download updates (if set to automatic) or approve the downloading of updates (if set to manual).

I searched online for methods to disable these updates and messages completely, but as expected the recommendations were all out of date

Thus I would appreciate any assistance in disabling all updates and messages for the Apple Store app as well as any other updates for the apple store

Here is how I have my System preferences set tip to not get continual notifications for software updates:

Notice the checkboxes that are not checked.

You should keep yourself knowledgable on updates so you don't get to far behind.

Can I ask why you want to avoid all updates? This could leave your Mac open to all kinds of malware and buggy software. I would personally recommend you authorise automatic updates to keep your Mac as safe as possible.
