Planning on getting a new macbook pro. I see I can use the closed-display mode to run an external monitor; could I run two monitors that way?
What about via a USB-C hub?

Yup. I also read that article. It seems to be very careful to refer to the external monitor in the singular. My question was could I use more than one external monitor in closed-display mode. The article does not answer that questions.
Can you use more than one display in closed-display mode?
