macOS catalina not installations

I meant that I am not the original poster but a different Mac OS user.

I am using the attached keyboard. I looked up trick key combinations to stop the bootup process. The only response is to the single user mode, which results in a page full of tiny font letters that looks like a Terminal dump. I don't recognize anything on the page, what little of it I could read.

I am trying to use a bootable USB drive now to interrupt this hung installation process.

The process of the installation halted with about 2 mm of the "progress bar" remaining, and stayed that way for several days.



Try it again in Safe Mode.

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?

Did you ever get your problem fixed?

Different user; but frozen catalina installation will not allow safe mode.

Are you saying anew User works?

Are you using a wireless Keyboard perchance?

How old is the computer?

Are there any backups running?

Have you backed up your data?

Is the machine at least 15% empty?

Have you made sure all your Applications are 64 bit?
