Music Catalina skipping halfway through tracks

I purchase many tracks from Beatport and then import them to my Music app, i'm finding that songs will not play all the way through and skip to the next track. The files are not corrupted as they play in full in the finder and on other applications. This is driving me mental... Any help would be appreciated!
