I tried to use the "relocate sound Library" option. In the box that opens up, I see my drives, including HD, SSD (where I want to relocate to), even the CD drive. Problem is, all the options are greyed out and I can't select any of them. I have the latest update to Logic on my iMac 21.5, 16 gb ram, Catalina. Thanks.

Few things to verify.
What is the format of the SSD? It should be MacOS Extended (Journaled) or APFS.
If the SSD is used for TimeMachine backup, it cannot be used to relocate the Sound Library.

I was able to relocate the sound files to an external disc. But that has not given me more space on the HD. So, if I moved 68 gigs of material to the external drive, why hasn't the HD shown a 68 gb reduction in data? That was what I believed was supposed to happen. What did I actually accomplish in doing the relocation process?
