Why doesn’t Spotify work on my Apple Watch
Thank you. So basically if I have the Apple Watch 5 with cellular, I still can’t listen to Spotify if I’m not near my phone?
What about Apple Music? I’m looking for that feature if I just have the watch and headphones to listen to music. If I leave my phone at home, I want to be able to have the music feature.
I couldn’t get Spotify to do that.

Any music you own and is stored on your iPhone can be transferred to your Apple Watch for offline listening, as well as podcasts and audiobooks.
Pandora paid subscribers can download offline copies of playlists that can be transferred to the Apple Watch
