What do you mean by locked out? You don’t remember the screen lock passcode, or it is disabled?


If that’s the case, you’ll have to erase it to reset the screen lock passcode - see -> If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
