Can I pay an Apple Music subscription with Apple Gift cards

Can I pay an Apple Music subscription with the funds available on my Apple ID?

For example the end of the fund is coming up and so I buy a $15 Apple Gift Card and redeem it in my Apple ID, can I use those $15 to pay my individual subscription for Apple Music of $9.99
