Catalina & New software for Microsoft

I just received and completed the update with the Catalina. My Microsoft office no longer works. I went to purchase the 365 as suggested and reviews are horrible. What is another option? I have to have it on my desk top.

Microsoft Office 2016 (updated), Office 2019, and Office 365 all work with Catalina.

If you don't want to use Microsoft Office you can use LibreOffice.

Be aware that Microsoft Office files and LibreOffice files are not 100% compatible. You will likely lose some functionality, formatting, and layout. So if you are in an environment where files are collaboratively worked on or shared then stick with Office if that is what others in the environment are using.
