locked note

I set up a bunch of notes on my iphone7 using touch id (the phone never asked for a password when locking...just my touch id). Now when those notes have been transferred to my new iphone XS max i'm being asked for a password. None of my previous apple ids will work. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't move locked notes from my iCloud to my iPhone I have moved a locked note from my iPhone to iCloud to be able to access it from multiple devices. I do not remember notes password as from the very beginning I unlocked them with Touch ID only. And now when the note is in iCloud the Touch ID is not an option, it requires the password only. There is a bunch of passwords in that note and I badly need them. I have spent hours searching for an option to move the locked note back to an iPhone and no luck. Because I can't do it without a password. If only there was a way to move locked note from an iCloud to a device without a password or at least with Apple ID password... Is there a way to do it? Is there a chance a new iOS/iCloud update will allow it?

Notes app password I transferred everything from my old phone to a new phone. I never used a password for my locked notes only my face id. Now on my new phone i can’t access my old locked notes without a password but i never made a password so i don’t know what it would be.

How to get into locked notes!? I recently upgraded from an iPhone 8 Plus to a 12 Pro & I’m having trouble accessing my locked notes. I always used my Touch ID to get into these notes and NEVER set up a physical password. Now that I’m trying to open them on my new phone I’m being asked to put in a password that doesn’t exist... I’ve tried any possible password that I could’ve used & still nothing. I even tried to reset the password and turn on Face ID with no luck. Are these notes just lost forever?

There's no way to restore them without the password. If you transfer from one phone to another it will use the Apple ID password when the lock was first set. You can keep trying passwords but there's definitely no way to unlock the notes without the password.
