Deleted messages

I’m unable to recover deleted messages on my IPad. They were in the trash and I deleted that. The message I’m looking for is a little over 30 days old.

Unless you have a backup of the device before the messages were deleted, you are out of luck. If you were using Messages in iCloud, you won't be able to get them back no matter. Messages do not go to a Trash folder, unless you are referring to Messages in iCloud, and if you are and deleted them from the deleted folder, they are gone.
