Once again: a iWatch 1 generation with watchOS version 3.1.1 did not connect to the iphone 11 with iOS 13, which is understandable - it is not compatible. Everything turned out to be ridiculously simple, I found friends with 6s with iOS 12, the watch connected, I updated it to watchOS 4.3.2, then I broke the pair and connected it to my phone with iOS 13 on board without any problems.

You can update it to watchOS 4.3.2 but that is as high as it will go. Open the Watch app on your iPhone, go to General > Software Update and follow the instructions.

You don’t connect it to your phone, you put it on the charger and do it wirelessly
