How to put MacBook Air (2019) to sleep with Keyboard Shortcut?

Just pressing power button with Touch ID - nothing happens.

If I long press it - computer shuts down.

So how to put it to sleep?

Is there a way similar to Windows machines where single press of the power button puts it to sleep?

Thanks!

Hello bat0nas,

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you would like to use a keyboard shortcut to put your MacBook Air to sleep. To help with this, see if Option–Command–Media Eject puts your Mac to sleep, or the other keyboard shortcuts in the section titled "Sleep, log out, and shut down shortcuts" in this Apple resource on keyboard shortcuts:

Cheers!
