My Apple Watch will not update and cannot pair to the new phone. It has a message that says update Apple Watch before pairing.
How can I update Apple Watch when it says I must be connected to the internet?

You shouldn't need to update your Apple Watch to pair it, to be honest your problem is really confusing me, what I suggest doing is (if you have one) use an old iPhone (e.g: iPhone 7) pair it to that update the watch and then pair it with your new iPhone, if that doesn't work the only thing I can suggest is that you either take it into an Apple Store, or talk to an Apple Specialist online, they may be able to help.
Try unpairing your devices....then pairing again.
Yeah, I’ve done that 15 times. Still nothing. Still asking to update device then telling me I need to connect to internet.
