apple tv wont connect to bluetooth

Trying to set up my 3rd gen Apple tv (recently restored to factory settings), and my bluetooth will not connect.

As far as I know an Apple TV 3 will only support BT keyboards, if you want to pair speakers, headphones, game controllers etc.. you need a Apple TV 4 or 4K to connect to those Bluetooth devices.
