Suddenly emails are being automatically deleted from my MacMail Inbox. This has not happened before. It seems that once they are a month old they are disappearing from my Inbox. I can't find anything in Preferences that would make this happen.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

In Mail>Preferences>Accounts>Mailbox Behaviors tab there are some Delete after a month settings, but not for the Inbox!?
Are you using any Mail Rules?
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

I've checked all the Preferences relating to this but found nothing that would affect only the Inbox. The only time sensitive Preference was regarding deleting from the trash folder and from the server. But once I download them to my Inbox, those shouldn't impact.

It is an IMAP account. I remember seeing some setting, somewhere, for deleting from the server after a certain amount of time, but I don't think I changed anything there. But now I don't remember how I got to that screen that showed that setting.
I am not a computer person....just the basics. If you could tell me how to get to the "delete from server" preference, that would be great and I can check to see how that is set.
Normally that is only for POP accounts, but if gMail log into the WebMail server, look for Manage Labels near the bottom left, then Forwarding and POP/IMAP across the top, then look at the POP & IMAP options.
Is this a POP or IMAP account?
Deleting from the Server would delete them from the Inbox if an IMAP account.
