Apps crashing

I have been using Ipads for last 4 or 5 years starting mini3, mini4 and ipad6th gen. my new ipad is updated to ipados. Now with the update, apps keep crashing or stop working. Yesterday while using amazon prime to watch movies, the app crashed every 2 mins destroying my movie. This wasnt the case with earlier ones. Quality of os was the forte of apple which is not there.
