Some of the Adobe C6 apps can be fixed by following the instructions here:

1. Right-click on 'Photoshop CS6.app' then click 'Show Package Contents'

2. Navigate via Contents -> MacOS

3. Open the unix file 'Adobe Photoshop CS6'

Or if you run this from a terminal:

/Applications/Adobe\ Photoshop\ CS6/Adobe\ Photoshop\ CS6.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe\ Photoshop\ CS6 ; exit;

However, it would be a good idea to upgrade to Affinity Photo. It can open most Photoshop files and does most of what Adobe does. There is no subscription and all updates are free until version 2, which won't be out for a few more years.

Affinity is normally $49, but if you use this link, it is 50% off.

There is a learning curve, and it took me a week a so to adjust (As Affinity does things very differently from Photoshop). But with 50% off, you can't go wrong.
