After upgrading to Catalina Mac HD is displayed as two even though there are no partitions!

I have a macbook pro 2017. I had to update to catalina through a bootable USB as i couldnt update through software update or app store even though it showed there is a software update available. I did a clean install after formatting the Hard drive first time i have done that ever since i bought the laptop. After catalina was installed i see the hard drive split in two even though there is no partition. Can anyone help please.
