Catalina 10.15

Downloaded successfully, but now have two "cannot sync" messages one for a photo, the other for Google Drive. If I try to close them by clicking on the red circle or the X, I get the beach ball.

The unable to sync messages have gone away, a couple of days after installing Catalina 10.15. The most confusing was "unable to sync with desktop." My advice to others is to wait a few days for Catalina to settle in.

Hi larryklein2001,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! It's my understanding that you're seeing an alert about Google Drive and Photos being unable to sync. I can help.

If you run into an issue where an application causes your Mac to become unresponsive, you can force quit the related apps: How to force an app to quit on your Mac - Apple Support.

If you are attempting to sync Google Drive and Google Photos but it fails to sync now that you have installed macOS Catalina, I would recommend reaching out to Google for further support next: Google Help.

If you need continued support from Apple, feel free to reach back out.

Take care.

Catalina 10.15
