Spotlight search on Ipad

Spotlight search on Ipad

Installed iOS 13 and updates and went to use spotlight search by dragging down from the top of the screen. But When I did this after the upgrade I no longer get the search box ??

What am I missing ?

Drag down from the middle of the screen.
