how can i delete files from icloud but not from my computer?

Hey. I am running ourt of icloud space.

I am sure iCloud is backuping stuff i do not intend it to backup.

When I try to delete some files from icloud (using my macbookpro) it also deletes does files in the computer. How can i avoid that?

I just want to free up icloud space, not delete files in my computer.
