Overcrowded Air Desktop

On my MacBook air, I open safari and then open mail and then open powerpoint and I have three apps hanging out on one desktop. Then i have to swipe up and add two more desktops and move the apps over to give them all their own screen. How can I make it default for each app to open on their one screen? (and don't say I can't because this drives me crazy.) Thanks.

Assign Apps to Specific Desktop Space Does anyone know how to assign an app for a specific desktop screen all the time? For example, I would like Outlook to be assigned to desktop 1 and safari to be assigned to desktop 2. How to avoid multiple desktops? Sometimes when I drag a chrome window near to the edge of my screen the window ends up on a new screen. I see a screen that's blank except for the chrome window. I've heard about multiple screens, but that is the extent of my knowledge. Questions: -- How to get the window back to where it came from? For every app you have open you can nominate a Desktop it opens in.

When the app is open go to the Dock and press Control and then click on Options

from there you can select which Desktop it opens to.
