itunes continuous playback

Hi,

How do I stop my playlist from playing the next song automatically? I need to be able to play only one song at a time from a selected playlist. I read about a checkbox, but I don't see a checkbox on my up to date itunes?

iTunes > Preferences > General > Show List View Checkboxes.

How to stop Auto play in iTunes playlist I saw an earlier post advising to un tick the boxes in the playlist so the next song will not auto play. If the boxes aren't there, set them up in preferences. I can't see that option in preferences and therefore have no boxes to tick. iTunes Playback In reference to the previous question. Is there an option to play one song only in iTunes. This would be as a setting or preference.

itunes playlist does not move forward My playlists will now only play the same song on repeat; I have to move the playlist forward by tapping the next song. I can't find a setting to alter this - very odd.
