I can no longer remove the watchband on my Apple Watch Series 2.

The release buttons don't seem to work anymore. Ideas?

If the buttons are stuck or the band will not slide from the fixing groove some members have reported success by rinsing with gently warm (not hot) water. How to clean your Apple Watch - Apple Support
