New apple watch will not pair with my iphoneX

I got a new apple watch series 3 and when trying to connect/setup to my iphone x it acts like it is pairing and then about 5 seconds later it says YOUR APPLE WATCH COULDN’T PAIR WITH YOUR IPHONE.

I have tried restarting the watch and my iphone. I also went outside to get away from other bluetooth devices. Nothing has worked.

please help.
