I want to surprise my wife by updating her original Apple Watch with a new Series 4. I noticed you take trade-ins via the website, but if I get her info from her watch for trade in, she won’t be surprised. Can she trade her old watch in after I purchase it and surprise her with the new one?

After you give it to her she can take her old one in and trade it for an Apple Store Gift card which she can use to by an additional band to go with her surprise Watch.
