why won't my MacBook download updates

Ive opened the App Store to update certain apps and a window pops up telling me I need to accept them in the App Store. I am in the App Store so what am I doing wrong?

Click on your name in the bottom left corner of the App Store app.

If the apps aren't listed there for you to Accept, delete the apps and make a fresh download from the app's App Store page.
