Preview app stop working in Mojave 10.14.6

Hi all

I tried to open a PDF file and Preview almost froze my Macbook Pro 2019. The color ball kept running for long minutes until I decided to turn it off.

After the restart I tried to open Preview without open any file. The same behaviour. The only solution was to shut it down by turn the Mac off.

Now, I can't open Preview.

I ran disk utility and no problem was found. Not a clue how to solve it.

Any ideas ?

If that happened to me, I would start diagnosing the issues by using Safe Mode as described here.
