On my iPad only, my gmail opens with the error message, content not downloaded from the server. Help, please.
Go to Settings>Passwords & Accounts and delete your Gmail account. Then, add it back.

For most minor email account issues, deleting the account and adding it back is the fastest way to resolve them. It downloads a new, fresh set of settings for the account.
