Icloud Photos

Is there a way to have icloud on for photos on both a macbook & iphone but with the ability to delete photos from the iphone without deleting them from the macbook? I don't like having all my photos on my phone but don't want them deleted from my macbook photo library.

Photos on iCloud with phone and laptop I am trying to keep my pictures on my Macbook and remove them from my iphone. When I go to settings and go to the icloud photos, I am given the option to turn off the iCloud photos. Once I click on this... it asks me "do you want to download a copy of your iCloud photos to this iPhone? Photos and videos that have been optimized to save space will be removed from this iPhone. The original, full versions will still be available on other devices using iCloud photos" Does this mean if I select remove from iphone, rather than download the photos and videos, that my photos that are on my connect mac will get deleted too? Or will they stay on the mac and the photos on my phone will be removed. I dont want to press the wrong key and lose everything.

Importing Photos and iCloud When I import my photos from my camera and SD card to my MacBook it saves my photos to the iCloud which I like. However, they also download onto my phone; therefore, I have a TON of photos that I do not want on my phone. Is there a way I can keep them on the iCloud and on my Mac but not download to my phone?

There isn't an option to do that. You can potentially reduce the space required on the phone by turning on the Optimize option -- see: Set up and use iCloud Photos - Apple Support

You can also make a suggestion to Apple that they add that capability via: Feedback - iCloud - Apple
