How can I make it to where I can create and edit in Microsoft word on a MacBook and PC using a portable hard drive? I just purchased my MacBook yesterday and the salesman at BestBuy told me that this could be done, but I can’t figure it out. HELP...thanks!!!

Maybe exFAT on a USB flash drive? I use a USB flash drive myself for sharing data. The drive was exFAT formatted out of the package. Those are usually more convenient.
